Why It Works
The Dish Shield is extremely slick, strong, and durable satellite dish weather protector. This is because the Dish Shield is made of Ottertex® 100% ripstop nylon fabric. It is a lightweight interwoven fabric, using special synthetic fibers to create a square-like pattern. Our covers for satellite dishes are made with special fibers placed within the weave at specific points, allowing for the fabric to have superior quality and hold up against all types of weather. The fabric is also specially coated with PU (polyurethane). PU coating allows for the material to be waterproof by using a seam sealing process (the process of covering the stitch holes and seams in a piece of fabric to prevent any water leakage), withstanding all types of snow, ice, and water exposures. The material is also a very pliable and easy-to-use fabric, allowing for a great deal of flexibility despite having a soft finish, so it installs perfectly and easily on a satellite dish. Additionally, in order to create a snow shield for satellite dishes the material is uniquely coated with snow and ice repellant to make it even slicker so that snow and ice do not build upon it. This makes the Dish Shield perfect for helping to prevent snow and ice accumulation from interfering with the signal to your satellite dish.
